I don’t know what to say, in the whole of BC, no Mexican food I had so far tastes like the food here!! You will get the true authentic taste made with the very hands of a gentle and kind couple. What beautiful aroma, and environment to even get this food from!!! I cannot wait to go next summer specifically for them!!

I understand that having purely 5 star reviews seems uncommon, and it's true. It's uncommon how good these tacos are. Probably the closest to authentic Mexican tacos without going to Mexico. We've tried a few other places in Tofino and Ucluelet but none of them had the taste of mom's kitchen like this one. It's a mom and pop shop and they're super nice. Go and give them a shot! If you take a bite and close your eyes it'll feel like you're in Mexico!

What an awesome little Gem in Tofino! Had dinner here after a whale watching tour and am very glad we found Waves & Tacos! This place is in a great little spot with a couple of other food truck style restaurants. The workers were friendly and the food was very authentic. We were very impressed with the flavourful tacos and chiquiles. Definitely a must if you are in the Tofino area.

Some of the best Tacos I ever tried. Went for the creamy chicken with rice. Tasted like something from a home made kitchen - really excellent and authentic tasting, especially the tacos themselves. This place deserves 10/5 ! It was incredible ! The tacos were amazing and so fresh and delicious. The owners are so nice and the service was very fast. I recommend you to stop here when in Tofino for affording and delicious Mexican food !

Great authentic mexican food that tastes homemade. Tried the tacos and tostadas and they were delicious. No long lineup, possibly Tofino’s best kept secret as the spot seems to be relatively new.
